Linda Drake & Miller Drake

As a boy growing up in Philadelphia, Miller Drake began collecting and sharing film at the ripe old age of 12.  So it should come as no surprise to learn his collection of rare film and television kinescopes now fills several vaults.
After moving to Los Angeles in the 1970s,  Mr. Drake’s extensive knowledge of film and early television helped him acquire film work in such varied capacities as Screenwriter, Editor, First Assistant Director, Sound Editor and even Actor.
A member of the Motion Picture Editors’ Guild, Mr. Drake subsequently distinguished himself in the field of Visual Effects Editing and today is one of the premier Visual Effects Editors in the industry.  His body of work reads like a Who’s Who of Hollywood blockbusters including THE ABYSS, TERMINATOR 2: JUDGEMENT DAY, LADDER 49, MEN IN BLACK II, and LEGEND OF ZORRO, NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM and most recently FAST & FURIOUS.

Linda Drake is a male film buff’s dream come true.  Whereas most female collectors focus more on romantic films, Linda’s vaults include Godzilla, Bruce Lee, Sci-Fi and Westerns!
The Chicago native received a Doctorate in Film from Northwestern University before moving to LA and co-founding and owner/operating  Motion Opticals, a boutique title, optical and visual effects house that has credits on over 300 independent films.  At the advent of the digital revolution, Linda put aside her optical camera for a computer and continued digital compositing on such films as BLADE and RUSH HOUR.
As a member of the Editor’s Guild, Ms. Drake is a highly sought after Visual Effects Editor.  Her credits include STUART LITTLE, THE BOURNE IDENTITY and BOURNE SUPREMACY,  MY SUPER EX-GIRLFRIEND and the soon-to-be-released TOOTH FAIRY.

Never one to rest on her laurels, Ms. Drake has ventured into the world of motion picture production with such films as TREMORS IV: A NEW BEGINNING and has recently co-founded the production company  As a Producer, she recently completed post production on her first Sci-Fi Comedy Adventure RESCUE ROCKET XL-5 and is in pre-production on numerous other films.
